About the academy
abxda academy brings together free courses to really understand technology: no shortcuts, and no one treated as unable to reason. The first course is on generative AI, built for two people: someone who must decide about these technologies without being technical, and someone who wants to understand them from the ground up. More courses are coming.
How the lessons are made
Each lesson is a narrated, animated explanation built step by step: one sentence of narration, one visible change. At key moments it pauses so you can move something before continuing. Then come the key ideas, a few check questions, an “under the hood” layer with formulas and code, and a decision lens for those who manage.
Who’s behind it
I’m Abel Coronado (abxda). I’ve spent more than 25 years working with data, statistics and artificial intelligence. I hold a PhD in Data Science, a master’s in Official Statistics and a degree in Computer Systems Engineering, and I’m a National Researcher (Level 1) in Mexico’s SNII. I teach graduate courses and share data science and AI on social media as @abxda. This academy comes from a simple conviction: understanding technology shouldn’t depend on being able to pay for it.
Voice and authorship
The voices are synthetic, generated with artificial intelligence. You can pick a female voice, a male voice, or read with subtitles only. The course is a co-creation: I direct and review it, and I wrote it together with Claude, an artificial intelligence model. Facts and dates cited were checked against primary sources, listed at the end of each lesson.
Human review. Besides my own review, the course is reviewed by people who are learning these topics from scratch: today there are three of us in the review loop. Every comment and every correction is visible in the public content repository, and no change goes in without my review and approval.
Privacy
This academy asks for no accounts and uses no cookies. Your language, theme, voice, captions, and progress are kept only in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to any server. Site traffic is measured in aggregate with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies and without personal data. Fonts and search are served from this same site, and audio from audio.abxda.com, the academy’s own domain.
